FM 09 - Football Manager 2009 Failed to set up graphics system

This is error for the first time i launch FM 09 - Football Manager 2009 on Windows XP, and i search on internet to fix the failed to set up graphics system issue you will need to download this Microsoft Direct X SDK. i try to download and install Microsoft Direct X SDK, now my Football Manager 2009 have normal. Download the file and install, check the link below:

Once you have downloaded this run the installer program and once completed run the game again and you should be good to go. Please note: The Patch fixes a number of issues with compatability so I advise you to install the patch before you do this. If you are running through STEAM this will be downloaded automatically if you are not the patch is available here:

Please be aware, if you download the torrent version you will need to use a torrent client such as Bitorrent.

That helped me, but I now can not launch the 3d pitch option in the matches. Btw, the game worked well until yesterday and today suddenly first did not open and now the 3d is gone, any opinions??

I think that you need to buy a video card to get the 3D match engine. this file is just to get the game running

Sega should refund anybody who bought this thinking it was a simple game for anyone to play

you need to be a computer expert for it to work(i don't even know what run the installer programme means and i'm not the only one)and you need a brilliant computer to play the game at a decent quality

they should be ashamed

Ive been playing the game well over 6 months without any issues at all untill just recently, i try to play the game and it says graphics system failed. I downloaded the reccomended Direct X software but now it freezes at the first loading screen. any help ? ? ?

The Direct X download allows the game to play without 3d because that is the 'failed graphics system'. And to one of the comments above if you read the back of the game it tells you the spec your console has to be up too so shut up for Gods sake!!
